Assistant Director: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (Ref #: OHSC 5/2025)
Salary: R 582 444 per annum (plus applicable benefits)
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree/National Diploma in Social/Economic Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration/Management or Statistics. A post-graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation would serve as an advantage. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. The aforementioned experience obtained in the health care sector will serve as an added advantage. Advanced Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), report writing, problem-solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills. Good knowledge of legislative and policy framework governing policy, programme, process performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting in the Public Service. Good communication skills (written and verbal). A valid driver’s license
Duties:
Extract, collect and analyse data of programme performance information. Compile progress reports against programme performance. Assist with the monitoring of the implementation of the strategic plan. Provide support to the planning, monitoring and evaluation processes. Collect and collate reports from all branches (programmes) towards the development of quarterly, mid/end term, annual reports of the OHSC. Assist in the development of planning, monitoring and evaluation tools, guidelines and systems for reporting. Assist in the development and implementation of planning, monitoring and evaluation frameworks. Assist in the development and design of evaluation guidelines for the implementation of programmes, interventions and projects. Assist in the co-ordination of management responses to audit findings on performance information. Support the co-ordination and facilitation of the entities strategic and operational planning processes.
